This project involves the extension and the re-modelling of the external area at the Regency Hotel, Bahrain. The client wanted to increase the capacity of the F&B space outside and to introduce variety of additional activities to enhance the user experience. Salloum and Salloum, responded by strengthening the connectivity between the main hotel and the pool deck and pool side bar by breaking down the physical obstacles and increasing the site lines from the main hotel through to the new facility. The extension also caters for a growing volume of people anticipating the future demand. Shading devices and a number of green and stone feature walls – delicately planted to enhance the visual excitement and interest. The project lighting is based on LED lighting which considerably reduces the lighting energy demand. The total refurbishment area is 2,000sqm. The finishes have been specifically chosen to enhance the colours of the new landscape yet very subtle and relaxing. Careful consideration and planning was made to ensure all MEP equipment is placed away from guest visibility.
